A revolutionary geological theory

Here I transcribe very synthesized a revolutionary geological theory that should be taken into account to rethink some existing dogmatic hypotheses in geology.

According to Professor Sanchez Cela, the fusion of rock masses of the upper mantle (50-500 km deep), which gave rise to the basaltic eruptions in oceanic ridges, occurred due to heat generated by the exothermic conversion of high density minerals into lower density minerals (i.e. coesite to quartz, hollandites to feldspars, etc).
Rising granitic melts "digest" the sediments of ocean basins formed by limestone and marl rich in CaCO3 and MgCO3, and clays, resulting in basalts (which in some ways can be defined as granites rich in calcium, iron and magnesium). If there were no incorporation of calcareous sediments to melt no basaltic eruptions would exist, but intrusions of granitoids (granites) in depth and effusions of "acid" lavas on the surface. It is noted that the main difference (but not only) between basalts and granites is the enrichment in Ca, Mg and Fe and less silica in basalts. According to V.Sánchez Cela, unlike concepts held in the official geological theories, there is NO convection (generalized ascents of rock masses) but mantelic mineral phase changes mineral with increased volume and higher temperature. These processes result in the formation of granitic crust producing "swelling" because the increased volume. The "swelling" results in the continental reliefs. This author also casts doubt on the movements of continental drift (continents do not move horizontally). As S.W. Carey and J.Maxlow, Sanchez Cela believes that there is NO subduction (no continent "dive" under another continent).
It would be a huge change of ideas in basic geology. Personally, although I am not sure of anything in science, Sanchez Cela theories seem very logical, and they are based on facts and numerous information.
Following these author logics it can be assumed that at deeper leves similoar phenomena may be happening and changes of phases may be taking place (and have taken place in the past) producing an augmentation of volume ot the planet through geological times. If these processes are indeed happening we might start considering that the planet Earth was much smaller in previous geological periods. Ir this is so the tectonic plates theory may need a revision.

An innovative and original theory by Prof. Vicente Sanchez-Cela

Let me share some ideas of the Spanish geologist Professor Vicente Sanchez-Cela. I think he has developed a theory about the formation of the earth's crust, including the origin of granites (the most common rocks in the crust) that deeply changes many concepts that are usually accepted in geology,

Prof. Sanchez-Cela is a geologist with vast experience and extensive knowledge of petrology, petrography, mineralogy and structural geology. In his theory he holds that deep mantle rocks have a similar chemical composition to the Earth crust but different crystal structures and higher density. The outer mantle rocks gradually have lost density through change of crystalline phase of its minerals. These processes generate heat, causing magmatic chambers, intrusions and volcanism, There ìs neoformation of the crust with expansion of the earth's circumference. It also puts into question the currently accepted theory of plate tectonics and continental drift.

Sanchez-Cela's theory is revolutionary and may arise smiles of disdain in many academics that are convinced of the accuracy of the official paradigm and do not accept the challenge that the new theory is presenting.

I think that the system proposed by Sanchez-Cela is original, innovative and seduces from the logical point of view. May be is no true, or perhaps is only partially accurate, but I'm sure it can incorporate valuable elements to the current geological interpretations about the origin of the Earth's crust and continents.

In the following text, I present the outlines of Vicente Sanchez-Cela's theory that I believe should be considered very seriously and finally would like to pay tribute to this Spanish scientist with long experience who has dared to rethink the geological orthodoxy from his extensive experience and deep theoretical knowledge.
