Dicamba: the new herbicide of Monsanto
The giant Monsanto (now a subsidiary of Bayer) tries new ways to increase its global power.

Farmers in Arkansas, Tennessee and southern Missouri are very angry with their neighbors and with the agrochemical giant Monsanto. A new herbicide has ravaged 200,000 acres of soybean fields. The herbicide is used to treat the new genetic engineered soy bean developed by Monsanto..
There are still controversies about Monsanto's herbicide based on glyphosate, also known as Roundup.
Now Monsanto has launched a new soybean seed resistant to another herbicide known as dicamba. While genetic engineered soy "Roundup Ready 2 Xtend" has been approved for planting in 2016, the US federal regulators have yet to approve the use of dicamba.
Farmers who bought the new Monsanto seeds have already sprayed their crops with dicamba obtained from other suppliers. Dicamba tends to drift to neighboring fields, severely damaging crops that are not resistant. It is reported that already 200,000 acres were affected in these three states ..
