The telluric "Climate Change", an industry of $
1,500,000,000,000 annually
By indio007 (1)
A recent report published by the Climate Change Business
Journal estimates the size of the Climate Change industry at 1.5 trillion
dollars a year. The figure includes carbon markets, consulting services,
biofuels, carbon sequestration, renewable technologies, green buildings and
hybrid cars. A dimension equivalent to the size of the world market for online
retail sales.
In particular, consulting services annually move $
1,900,000,000 worldwide, 890,000,000 in the United States alone. The projection
is that if the “climate policy” is maintained, the figure is expected to be
more than double by 2020 (if it can be maintained despite the ongoing cooling
and the Thomas Kuhn approach).
Obviously much is the commercial interest in maintaining the
formulation of climate policies and much is the practice of
"obscurantism."
According to the study, Climate Change will have a greater
and faster growth than that of the Environmental Consulting market. The latter
invoiced 600 million dollars in 1976 but today generates 27,000 million.

The perspectives on how this theme will evolve greatly
depend on what Thomas Kuhn put forward in his book "The structure of
scientific revolutions" already on its 50th anniversary. Kuhn's work shows
that a paradigm cannot be refuted, it can only be replaced. In this sense, the
skeptics may be too sincere and we fail to make another credible story that
echoes the popular will.
